A few kilometres from our boutique hotel lie Noto and old Noto, the greatest expression of the baroque in Sicily, whose historic centre was declared a World Heritage site in 2002 by UNESCO, together with other late baroque towns in the Val di Noto. With its wonderful Duomo, famous throughout the world, and its fairytale palaces, Noto attracts tourists from every part of the globe all year round. Centuries of history, culture and tradition, which never fail to move visitors. The historic town centre arouses deep emotion, with its timeless atmosphere, noble palaces, magnificent architecture and friezes, typical of baroque art.

Vendicari Nature Reserve

There are numerous natural paths setting out from our wellness retreat, so your vacation at i Carusi is an opportunity to plan a trip of discovery. For instance, a short distance from the boutique hotel is the Vendicari Nature Reserve: a wonderful, unspoilt oasis, with its beaches of fine golden sand, and crystal sea, within walking distance, or else by bicycle available from the boutique hotel.
Once you arrive, between sunbathing beneath the hot Sicilian sun, and a cooling dip in the wonderful waters of the reserve, the ideal way to end your outing could be a picnic on the beach, before setting out to walk the tracks and paths, all for you to enjoy.

Cassibile pools

From the sea to the lake: all just a short distance from i Carusi. Your holiday in our boutique hotel will be an all-round experience in contact with nature. If you love long walks and exploring the history of this corner of Sicily, you won’t be able to resist the call of the Cava Grande canyon on the Cassibile River. A fascinating place, where you can be surrounded by a special natural setting, and discover some archaeological remains. Continuing on your way to the bottom of the valley, you will see the breath-taking view of a series of small lakes, making you wish for a reviving dip in the fresh, blue water.

Siracusa and Ortigia
