The well-being of our body is primarily linked to our mental health, and there's nothing better for that than country air. So our boutique hotel is completely surrounded by the green Val di Noto, and it is the ideal place for a yoga retreat. Here, your stay in Sicily becomes an exclusive journey of introspection and meditation, through ancient practices. Wellness which is not just looking after the body, but above all, is a holistic approach, where the inner space and care of the mind take the lead. The yoga classes at i Carusi take place outdoors, and have to be booked: from March to June, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons; in July and August it is every day, morning and afternoon.

The wonderful beaches of the Vendicari Nature Reserve, with their pure, crystal-clear waters, are only a short distance from i Carusi, and you can opt to take a picturesque walk there on paths through the natural landscape, or benefit from the convenient bike hire service available to guests at our hotel. To make your trip to the sea perfect, you can take a light brunch basket, with organic, zero-kilometre products prepared for you by i Carusi.

For instance, just a few kilometres from our boutique hotel are the splendid towns of Noto, Siracusa and Ortigia. Magnificent, enchanting places, full of stories to tell.

Etna
Lovers of excursion and trekking will be pleasantly surprised to discover that only a few kilometres from i Carusi there is Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. You just take the car and set off, admiring all its grandeurs on the way, until you reach the slopes, where it appears proud and majestic, with its summit always smoking. A trip to the craters at the top of the volcano is suitable even for the less expert, and for your children, for an enjoyable family day out. Experienced travellers can venture up more challenging paths. Whichever route is chosen, the experience that “Idda” (the mountain, as the people of Catania call it) will give you is unforgettable.
